Today is the day! I have my photo shoot today at 2.00. All morning I have been panicking trying to think of ways in which to make my characters be able to stand up. I finally mastered this this morning by finding some mugs and using double-sided tape or sticky pads to secure them. When working on my different snap shots today I must consider a coherent narrative sequences.
This may include using taking a shot with one of the characters in it, then taking one with two – to demonstrate the build up of characters at a particular scene or setting. I am very excited about today, but also it is of course a very big responsibility. I will take the photographs on a crisp white background with no shadows – this will make my work easier when it comes to cutting the images out (magic wand tool Photoshop). I can then superimpose these images onto a variety of different background types- fun and jazzy or scenic, helping to depict a clear narrative sequence.
I must remember that the props that I have may also be of use for the outdoor shoot, so I must keep them for this. My second photo shoot is on the 21st of April, so I must bear in mind that I need to keep an eye out for different locations based on this.
I am to speak with Paz and Christine today about possibly creating a secondary tier of promotion to complement my primary tier – it is believed that this will better showcase my talents which are at present rather understated. After the photo shoot today I will analyse my final images and work out how exactly I can use these. I will experiment with different editing techniques such as colour 16 and colour 6 or high fidelity photographs which also allow the live paint facility – to see what interesting effects I can create.
Today within my lesson I will learn about campaign and time plans – this is something which I really need to concentrate on, as I have not covered this within my report yet. Also, tomorrow I am planning on venturing to Birmingham for the education fair, so I must make sure I book the tickets for that tonight and make sure everything is secure ready for me to go tomorrow. This will be a great opportunity for me to gather primary research of the ‘educational’ kind, to complement my more creative and child oriented primary research to date. I may also create new contacts who will be useful for inclusion within my report.
What next? Today, other than the photo shoot, I will also be working on the CD roundel and also the CD case – this last point will involve me mocking up a setting with I will use. I have considered using one of the photographs from the shoot for this, this way I will be maintaining continuity throughout the campaign. I will remember to annotate this to describe which parts will be detachable and which ones will be secured.
